“I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift,
nor the battle to the strong…” (Eccl. 9:11)
It is not to the wise, nor to the mighty
Not to the healed, nor to the perfect man, but it is to
The deprived of heart, the lowly, the poor in spirit and nature
It is to the sick and needy, the weak and fatigued
Because these are the limited in perfection
Who will roar the mighty power of God
In their due time
All God asks of us is to taste of his redemption
Not so that we might not fall
But so that when we are tried,
Punished, rejected, judged, mistreated, corrected
Abused and neglected
We might get up
That when we fall, we take that scraped knee
Bandage it and keep running
And when we fall again, we take the left knee
Bandage it and keep running
And thrice we fall, take your broken arm
Bandage it and keep running
Our scraped head,
Our broken mind, bandage it and keep running
Our shattered spirit, bandage it and keep running
In all brokenness, we bandage it with the almighty powers of God
Over heaven and hell and all his righteousness and keep running
No matter how deep the mud we walk in
No matter how swift the water we swim in
We must keep pushing we must keep going
Because there is a purpose in mind
There is a goal we must reach
For what should we say?
“God save me from my brokenness”-NO
For it is our brokenness that has caused us to run to God
It is our brokenness that allows us to proclaim that
He can do impossible things
It is our brokenness that keeps our minds stirred up in his word
Desiring its power and authority
God doesn’t get glory from failure and mistakes
He gets glory from success
Therefore he will not fail
So of the ninety-nine things that can stop us
Failure will not be one of them
In never giving up, we claim our victory
Because this is the glory of God
That those who are weak, run in new strength
The sickly run in the healing of the blood of Jesus Christ
The poor run in the riches of the Almighty God
The unwise run in the wisdom of the Omniscient Holy One
The deprived of heart runs in the new motivation of the Patient Redeemer
The lowly runs until he is uplifted with the righteous right hand
Of The Sovereign Amen
He is he that opens doors that no man can shut
And shuts doors that no man can open (Rev. 3:7)
For what can pluck you out of his hand
Or separate you from the great I AM?
Will your blemishes close the mouth of God
Who spoke creation into existence
And then used it to form you with a plan in mind
Who can cease his hand from making a way out of your sea of brokenness?
Who can turn his hand aside from covering your imperfections with his amazing grace?
It is sufficient! It is sufficient!
His grace is beyond you.
His grace is beyond you.
There is a goal, there is a goal we must reach
Your imperfections allow room for the blind to see
There is a goal, there is a goal we must reach
So praise God in your imperfection, for it is they
Who will lift up the name of the
Holy of Holies
The Patient Redeemer
Awesome and Immeasurable Savior
Emanuel
Let the lives of the imperfect give him the PRAISE
Imperfect men
keep running no matter
What things look like
Imperfect men
Keep running until the promises
Of God are reflected in your life
Imperfect men
Keep running until you proclaim to the world
That he is the one true God
Keep running
Imperfect men
